john demo tajJohn Demo has more than 50 years experience in quality assurance, new product development, product optimization, training and operations management.  John has worked internationally and has a pragmatic work style.

John’s special area of interest is in fermented and acidified fruits and vegetables including pickles, sauerkraut, peppers, okra, olives and assorted fruit toppings, preserves and emulsions. In addition to working on specific projects, John specializes in situation appraisals, uncovering potential risks and opportunities.

In addition to working with US companies, John has consulted in China, India, Spain, Greece, Peru, Argentina, Turkey, Lebanon, Mexico and Canada.

John has given multiple presentations to Pickle Packer’s International.

Ron Buescher, PhD Postharvest Food Science has Ron Buescher pic 1been involved with pickled vegetable research, education and service for more than 35 years while serving on the faculty of the University of Arkansas. Currently Dr. Buescher is Director of the Pickle Improvement Center, which provides technical services focused on preventing enzymatic softening and improving texture of pickled vegetables. The Pickle Improvement Center provides consulting and training services for pickled vegetable briners and manufacturers through John Demo Consulting, Inc.
